'Will Parfitt has done an admirable job of distilling the essence of Psychosynthesis
into a communicable, palatable form.' (Alexis du Pont de Bie, American Board of Master Educators)
'A splendid book and well written.' (Edith Stauffer, President, Psychosynthesis
International)
'Will does a very nice job summarising the core aspects of Psychosynthesis, and then reaching further and deeper,
peeping through the wall of silence and into the esoteric roots of this beautiful therapeutic and educational modality. A stepping stone into luminosity. (Book Prize reviewer)
'This book is written with clarity, breadth of vision, and gentle humour. I found it easily applicable and relevant to everyday life,
consistent and practical in its teaching, and at the same time imaginative and creative. An extremely profound subject, made clear
and understandable.' (Book Prize reviewer)
Psychosynthesis is a practical system that
integrates principles and techniques from many approaches to personal and
spiritual growth. It is not about the application of techniques, however,
but learning to live with a vision that comes from deep within oneself and
how to bring this vision into everyday life in a meaningful way.
This new, revised edition of Psychosynthesis: The Elements and Beyond takes
the reader into deep explorations of the psychospiritual and transpersonal
realms in a practical way and reveals Psychosynthesis as the psychology
of choice for now. The relevance of Psychosynthesis is emphasised not just
for the individual but also for the larger world in which we live.

Will Parfitt
PS Avalon, 2008

£10.00 (9.00 with 10% discount)
'A brilliant, enlightening, contemplative, profound book which requires courage and a non-dual open mind to read it.'
(HY)
'Will provides many perspectives from which to see the "something" or the "nothing" of death - coming back always to the spirit of honest inquiry, and what might be called a lively acceptance of something we cannot evade. We are not besieged by any kind of party line, and yet Will doesn't flinch from laying out given modes of thought and belief.' (Barbara Brown)
'As a hospice volunteer for twenty years, I have read many books on death and dying. I really appreciated the freshness of this book; not only is it full of interesting information on the subject, but it also contains many experiential exercises for coming to terms with Life's inevitable losses. I also enjoyed Mr Parfitt's very British sense of humour on this challenging topic!' (Lynn Davis)
Death is ever present throughout life and the more we learn to face this fact the more death
becomes a friend and ally, a wise advisor who encourages us to live life more fully. To make a relationship with death is
to make a commitment to self-evolution and growth.
To face death confers inner strength for it brings us more authentically into the moment, into the fullness of our lives; in other words,
it brings us closer to freedom. Living wisely is to prepare for dying well, not for some promise of what will happen
after death but because living wisely brings its own merit.
The Something and Nothing of Death is a source of inspiration, enabling you to face the prospect of death with a new spirit of inquiry.
Through increased understanding and the lessening of unconscious fears, you can make a positive, life-enriching change to your perspective on and relationship with death.

Rachael Clyne
PS Avalon, 2005
ISBN: 0-9544764-5-X
£10.00
'Sensible and insightful...
and possibly life-changing' (Jenny Shepherd, PET Newsletter)
'A lovely, well laid out and empowering book....
perceptive descriptions and no-nonsense analysis of the issues' (Amazon review)
'This book has achieved the difficult task of dealing with a complex topic in a wonderfully light hearted way.I was delighted that the book plummeted such depths of the human condition in a conversational format. I am a counsellor and keep a loan copy for clients and so many people have found this book beneficial because it de mystifies low self esteem and provides the ways and means to deal with it. Its a great book to pick up in a low moment because the easy dialogue and the accessible exercises have the ability to scale down the worries and bring back motivation and enthusiasm for life.'(Maureen Ni Fiann)
Breaking the Spell arose from Rachael's own
journey of recovery from low self-esteem as well as many years of working
as a counsellor and therapist. She shares techniques she developed to help
herself and which have proven highly successful with her clients. It draws
on a variety of approaches;- cognitive behavioural methods, Twelve-Step
recovery work, spiritual and creative techniques.
Breaking the Spell aims to put its ideas across in a direct and accessible
manner. Rachael has worked in a variety of settings, including addiction
recovery and GP surgeries and has had to find the language to meet the needs
of a wide range of people, with differing degrees of life experience, and
awareness.
By sharing her own experience, Breaking the Spell has a sense of equality
and aliveness as well as depth. It explains how self-esteem operates and
offers ways of breaking destructive behaviour patterns. Each chapter contains
creative activities for developing a healthier and more loving sense of
self.
The book is illustrated with Rachael's pertinent and witty cartoons.
The most amazing book on the Kabbalah! You must be so proud of it - it is truly wonderful! MR
This is a book to use and enjoy, and one to have close by when meditating or in need a refreshing break. Step into these images and enter your own imaginal world. You will be enriched and rewarded by doing so. JH
Very precious - I love these mandalas - I need to go deeper into all of them, and that will take me some while! What a treat, a feast to my eyes, mind and soul. HY
What a great looking book. My initial flick through shows that it is pretty, mouth watering, sumptuous stuff - a deep meditation on the Tree, a series of eye-kissing visual poems, all held in a deep and beautiful structure - really wonderful. KH
I really enjoyed your new book and return to it when I need a dip into something imaginative. I'd love to know how you did those hidden images - they're really tricksy and fascinating. KI
The oldest, oral methods of teaching Kabbalah through inductive story telling involve the use of powerful imagery that has the depth and connection to make the spheres and paths of the Tree of Life come to life in a non-rational, non-linear way. The images in this book offer a way of making connections using the imagination and the will to take the reader beyond separation and towards Oneness.
Meditation on the spheres ands paths of the Tree of Life gives you access to different levels of consciousness and the colour illustrations in this book intend to support this process. Finding your own ways into and out of these worlds is most effective and there are a few suggestions in the notes at the back of this book to help you connect with the Kabbalistic Medicine Wheel.
Sample images from Kabbalah: The Tree of Life (33 images, each cover a whole right page in the book)
"For beginners, Kabbalah for Life introduces the Tree of Life in a way which is fluid,
inviting and structurally simple. Those already familiar with the Kabbalah will find new insights,
connections and a deepening of their existing knowledge. As always, with Will Parfitt's work, the
emphasis is practical, psychologically sound and sustains throughout a sense of the wonder and mystery
which can be revealed by studying this ancient path of wisdom. This book is truly a 'Companion On The Path'
for anyone looking to integrate their studies with their real life. Highly recommended!"(Melanie Reinhart,Author of Chiron
and the Healing Journey)
"If you want a clear and jumping intro I think this'd work for you; if like me you want a deeper experience of Kabbalah then buy it now -
I've read it right through and am now going back to the many bits that will help me understand Kabbalah more" (Amazon reader review)
The Kabbalah is a fascinating and ancient tradition which helps to explain ourselves, and our relationship with the world.
For all those who enjoyed the author's previous books on the subject, Will Parfitt takes the reader onto the next level of understanding, beyond the elements.
In this new, revised edition, he explains the Kabbalistic approach to the tarot; healing and the angels, demons and sexuality; how to achieve stillness and inner peace,
among many other stimulating subjects supremely relevant to our everyday lives. He also shows how, with study and practice, the Kabbalah can deepen our connection
to the world and help us in our own self-development.
'Wit and wisdom to guide the unfoldment of your potential.'(API-UK)
'I think the interweaving of thinking and ideas, with imagination, intutions and felt and lived experiences is what this book does well. It creates a colourful and creative patchwork of personal and professional experiences, all held within the container of Psychosynthesis… .. it is a creative and enjoyable book that offers up some unusual areas to the Psychosynthesis community, making it a welcome additon to the literature.'
(Karen Baillie, PET News)
Fifteen authors explore a variety of perspectives on Psychosynthesis in the modern world,
including the transforming effect of love in the therapeutic process, the need for authentic relationship for therapy to be effective,
how astrology can impact upon therapeutic work, the hidden mythic depths in the Harry Potter stories, how to go beyond protest and
blame towards international cooperation, aspects of training, biblical literature, alchemy and gnosticism. Case studies and a sprinkling of first class poetry, all steeped in the visions and values of Psychosynthesis, make this collection a must for all practitioners and everyone who wants to further their own personal and spiritual development.
'I read your book on a recent train journey and enjoyed it and learning about you and how you handle life and people. I like your honesty and rawness - and being content with unknowing.' (William Bloom)
'Usual Me is engaging and challenging. Through poetry, snapshots of therapy sessions, personal experience and reflection Geoffrey Windham invites us to consider the comedy and tragedy of being both small and great beings on this planet at this point in time. It is warm, direct and wise.' (Amazon reader)
'Windham explains his ideas in a direct and conversational way. He pulls together strands from many different psychological and spiritual paths. Combining Kabir, Ken Wilber and Monty Python, Lao Tsu, Lenny Bruce and Martin Buber in an entertaining and humorous way, yet still managing to make the very serious point of the way we humans treat each other.'(Sean Gardner)
Brimming full with cutting-edge psychology
from the mind of a insightful psychotherapist, Windham's book takes the
reader beyond the rants and ramblings of a psychotherapist into a deep inquiry
not only into psychology but the very meaning of life itself.
Windham, in this ground-breaking book, explores whether we can recognise
each other and ourselves as embodied human beings, fearful of our mortality,
wary of each other, yet connected and defined by otherness? The author explores
how sharing and even celebrating the commonality of our humanity moves us
through the familiar towards what we already knew but did not dare to admit.
This is where the parallel lines meet, a by-product of speaking the language
of intimacy.

Finding Your Self Through Madness
Nicki Holland
PS Avalon, 2008
ISBN: 978-0-9552786-7-9
£13.00 (10.40 with 20% discount)
'This is a book which should be read by every professional who works in the field of Mental Health, along with anyone who is themselves experiencing the chaos of psychosis. From a unique perspective of being both an experienced psychotherapist and someone who has herself experienced a journey into psychosis, the author challenges the generally accepted concept of psychosis as an 'illness' and puts forward an extremely strong case for viewing psychosis as a response to emotional trauma in childhood. Personal experience is combined with sound theory to produce a very readable, but necessarily personally-challenging, book. The author encourages all professionals working with clients experiencing psychosis to explore their own psychotic self. She further proposes that, having 'been there' and worked through one's own issues, as a practitioner one is then equipped with an otherwise un-learnable quality necessary for deeply distressed clients/patients to feel safely held on their own journey into the dark night of the soul.' (Amazon reader)
Finding Your Self Through Madness is a rare opportunity to understand madness from the inside. A vivid autobiographical
exploration of personal psychosis is woven into a well described theoretical framework.
Author Nicki Holland is a psychotherapist who has worked
in the field of healing for over twenty years. Through extremes of light and dark, Nicki leads the reader to a meaningful understanding of how psychotic
experiences might be transformed into a greater sense of self and well being. Her work challenges conventional views and brings a message of hope to all
those concerned with mental suffering.

'Such a strong message portrayed in so few words, made this book a joy to read. The wonderful use of metaphors throughout the book, took me to a level of understanding far deeper than the written word alone. I was left with a feeling of validation of my own sense of 'being' and in awe of the writer capable of articulating so poetically, a subject which often leaves the rest of us speechless. … Definitely a read I shall return to again and again!' (G Colloff)
'This touches so beautifully on the creation of life and the various forms of misunderstanding that you find yourself questioning the purpose of almost everything that has ever happened. The source of our existence, the desire to evolve, where we are going and why our endeavors result in so much pain and suffering are all embraced, and with such clarity of understanding you will want to read it again for fear there is something you have missed. If you are serious about spiritual development and are not afraid to look beneath the surface of your reality to accomplish it then do not let this pass you by. A deeply thought provoking experience.' (D Alexander)
