'The leader only helps people find their own nature,

people of who they have always been.' (Lao Tzu)

I work with you to identify
your needs and create a programme individually suited to you. All inquiries
are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
I also offer a programme of courses
for leaders that can be tailored to suit your individual, group or organizational
needs.
The Psychology of Leadership
Effective leaders are aware of their own personality characteristics as
well as of those they lead. Assess your own leadership style based upon
sound psychological principles and determine areas of growth to become more
effective. Focus on experiencing the leadership role as a creative opportunity.
The Great Game of Power
Created by Augusto Boal for his acclaimed 'Theatre of the Oppressed', the
Great Game of Power, adapted by Will Parfitt for leaders and managers, offers
you the opportunity to test your skills at creating, maintaining, sharing
and loosening power.
Organizational Matching
The phenomenologist Elizabeth Behnke discovered a pattern of activity behind
all 'healing' and 'facilitation' which she called 'matching.' Matching can
be applied to organizations, teams, and groups and is a fascinating and
powerful skill for a leader. Distinguish what the organisation introjects
and compare this with what is inside, 'the soma of the organisation.' An
opportunity to create a living and thriving environment.
One to one, email and phone:
For many people there is no substitute for face to face individual or group
sessions. For various reasons, however, not least time and distance factors
as well as disability, it may be more useful for some to have your consultations
via email or phone.
Exactly how we work together will depend upon defining what you really
need and helping you achieve this. We will work closely with you to define
your particular needs and how you can get these needs met.
One to one, email and phone services are all available.
Choosing A Counsellor or Psychotherapist
'If you wish to know the way up a mountain, you must ask the person who
goes back and forth on it.'
RH Blyth
There are many different kinds of counselling and psychotherapy, numerous
different training and certificates and so on - so much so, it can be difficult
to know what it all means, who you can trust, if the person is properly
qualified and so on. All the evidence shows that of most importance is choosing
the right person for you. Of course you want your therapist to be competent
and to have done some training but more important is how you feel with them
- ask yourself if you feel comfortable telling this person intimate details
of your life; do you feel safe with them; do you like the way they act towards
you; do you feel respected and heard?
There is a lot of information on the subject available on the WWW, and your
local library should be able to give you more literature on counselling
and psychotherapy.
I have an extensive referral network and may be able to advise you of a
suitable practitioner for your specific needs. You can phone or email for
referral using the number and address below.

Professional Supervision
Supervision is vital for the modern professional who is working with individuals,
families or groups in whatever discipline. I offer supervision for psychotherapists,
counsellors, health and education professionals, social workers, leaders
and managers, in fact anyone who needs this level of close supervision.
My aim is to help and encourage you in your work with others and to support
you and those you work with in a heartful manner, to attend to meaning and
the unfoldment of process. Supervision is not about being right or wrong,
it is a shared process of inquiry, reflection and learning. It may be challenging
as well as supportive, but it is always held with care and understanding.
Supervision is crucial in supporting, holding and modelling the client-guide
relationship being centred on our own heart values and at the same time
able to support and honour the values of others.
I hope through our work together that I will model for you a way that you
can also work in the field of supervision if you so wish. In that context,
I can offer consultation sessions specially geared to the needs of senior
practitioners and those already working as supervisors themselves.
Psychospiritual Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is essential to modern life, particularly at times of transition
and change, but also when we wish to know more about ourselves and how we
operate. Psychotherapy requires a one-to-one relationship and can bring
about profound changes in your life and encourage you to develop your potential.
It can help you appreciate the joys of life as well as how to deal with
the difficulties. A psychotherapy client may primarily wish to get to know
themselves better, to improve their relationships, and get more out of life.
Psychotherapy, viewed in this way, is an exciting and rewarding venture.
Psychotherapy often deals with deep-seated personal issues that may require
a comparatively long-term commitment to uncover their source and meaning.
Part of therapy is learning to trust in the unfoldment of your own process.
Psychotherapy is also for those who, whilst they may not be in a crisis
as such, recognize there could be more to their lives, that they have vast
stores of untapped potential. Psychotherapy requires a deep level of commitment
- to yourself.
Coaching, Mentoring
and Spiritual Companionship
Most of us can benefit by being both supported and challenged to increase
our abilities to show ourselves to our fullest capabilities, and to move
on with work and life issues that need our closest attention.
This work could include a very wide range of possibilities, and may involve
many different aspects of your life and all sorts of attendant issues. My
aim is to help you effectively manifest your goals in the shortest possible
time.
You are never given a wish without also being given the power to make
it true. You may have to work for it, however.
Richard Bach
The right use of our inner power can enable us to make the best choices
both for our own well-being and the world around us. We can only make these
choices, however, through developing our inner power in a balanced and conscious
way. Exactly how we work together will depend upon defining what you really
need and helping you achieve this. I will work closely with you to define
your particular needs and how you can get these needs met.
